The two vehicles were stopped in traffic when the drivers began arguing, the Hillsborough sheriff says.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY – A Riverview man died Friday (Oct. 14) after he was shot in what appears to be a road rage incident, the Hillsborough Sheriff’s Office said.

Kenneth Michael Cuevas, 26, of Riverview, died at a hospital where he was taken after the shooting.

Deputies said the incident happened about 6:30 p.m. on Bloomingdale Avenue near King’s Avenue. The two vehicles were stopped in traffic when Mr. Cuevas got out of his vehicle and walked back to the shooter’s vehicle. Words were exchanged and shots were fired, deputies said. The shooter, who deputies did not name. pulled off the roadway and waited for law enforcement. Deputies said he was being cooperative. It appears that the two had an earlier road rage incident just moments before the second incident and shooting.
