TAMPA – Toby Keith is on his way to Tampa.
It’s an invitation for the entire town of country music fans, cowboys and cowgirls to come out and enjoy a gigantic country fashion party with their favorite songs. Since dropping his first album in 1993, Keith has long been a country western favorite. Known as an immense talent and clever songwriter, he’s most at home singing about cowboys, America, freedom, and red Solo cups while putting on a great show.
Keith’s album sales of more than 40 million worldwide account for 17 studio albums, two Christmas albums, and four compilation albums that spawned 20 singles hitting the number one spot, and 21 top 10 hits on the country music charts.
Keith sky-rocketed to fame through a succession of chart topping songs like “Should’ve Been a Cowboy,” “Who’s That Man,” “You Ain’t Much Fun,” “Me Too,” “How Do You Like Me Now,” “I’m Just Talkin’ About Tonight,” “Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue,” “Beer for My Horses,” and “American Soldier.” His infectious country ditties combined with charismatic wit, down-to-earth sense of humor, and a little dash of controversy put his name on the headlines. Keith has amassed a huge following that showered him with adulation, as well as music critics who give kudos to his body of work.
The name, the Interstates & Tailgates Tour, hints at a spectacular time. As befitting a member of the Songwriting Hall of Fame, Keith plans to play a varied selection of popular hits, deep tracks, and fan favorites, not to mention tunes from the album 35 MPH Town, and his new track “A Few More Cowboys.”
