Patricia Simmons, 64, of Treasure Island died at Palms of Pasadena Hospital. Deputies said the vehicle’s occupants were not hurt.

The accident happened about 1 p.m. Saturday (March 5) when Ms. Simmons was crossing in the 10100 block of Gulf Boulevard, deputies said. She was hit by a 2014 Toyota Tundra driven by Randall Coffman of St. Petersburg. Coffman’s wife and two children were with him.

Deputies said Coffman immediately stopped. Ms. Simmons was not in the crosswalk and was crossing mid-block, deputies said. Neither alcohol nor speed appears to be a factor.
