In Pinellas Park, Nothing But Butts

The public works department is holding its first barbecue cook-off to benefit People Helping People, a Pinellas Park charity.

PINELLAS PARK – Come and enjoy the public works department’s first-ever barbecue cook-off, Nothing But Butts BBQ.  The event will run from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday (May 23) at England Brothers Park, 5010 81st Ave. N. Admission is free.

The day’s activities include a barbecue cook-off with local amateur competitors. Contestants can enter pork butts, ribs or both. First, second and third prize trophies will be awarded for both categories. Live entertainment, beer, fireworks, children’s rides, bounce houses, bubble runner and much more. Bring lawn chairs to sit and enjoy the live music. No coolers are allowed in the park area. The proceeds from the cook-off will benefit People Helping People, a local charitable organization that helps residents that are elderly, disabled or incapacitated on fixed incomes by helping with their yardwork or minor repairs to their property.
