Two Students Hurt in Pinellas School Bus Crash

The driver of the other vehicle was cited for running a stop sign, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

PINELLAS COUNTY – Two students from Palm Harbor University High School and the driver of the other vehicle received minor injuries Tuesday (Oct. 11) in a school bus crash, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Daniela Texidor, 16, of Clearwater. was ticketed for running a stop sign, troopers said. She and two students who were on the bus were taken to Mease Countryside Hospital with minor injuries.

The collision happened about 1:15 p.m. at Nebraska Avenue and 15th Street N. Troopers said Texidor stopped the 2007 Audi A4 she was driving at a posted stop sign, then drove into the intersection into the path of a school bus with 16 students from Palm Harbor University High School driven by Linda Santo, 75, of Holiday. The Audi struck the left side of the bus, troopers said.
