Pinellas Park Bicyclist Dies in Crash
He was pushing his bike across U.S. 19 N against a red light, according to the Pinellas Park police.
PINELLAS PARK – A Pinellas Park man died Monday (Jan. 22) when he was hit by a car while pushing a bicycle across U.S. 19 N, the Pinellas Park Police Department said.
Sean J. Bollar, 79, of Pinellas Park, died at the scene.
The crash happened about 8:30 p.m. in the 8000 block of U.S.19 N. Officers said Mr. Bollar was pushing his bicycle from the east side to the west side of U.S. 19 N against the red pedestrian crossing signal. Ricky Graham, 50, of Clearwater, was driving a 2003 Mitsubishi Galant north on U.S. 19 in the median lane when he hit Mr. Bollar. Graham had a solid green light.
No charges are expected.
