The pickup truck he was driving overturned, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

PASCO COUNTY – A Zephyrhills man died of injuries he received in a single-car Pasco crash Saturday (March 18), according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

John Wayne Light, 50, died at Florida Hospital in Zephyrhills where he was taken after the crash.

The crash happened about 10:35 p.m. on Old Lakeland Highway south of Otis Allen Road. Mr. Light was driving a 2002 Ford pickup south on Old Lakeland Highway. Troopers said he failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway, traveled onto the shoulder, overturned and collided with a barbed wire fence. The pickup came to a rest on its left side in a pasture.
