Pasco Crash Kills Motor Scooter Driver

He veered off the road and hit a tree, FHP troopers said.

PASCO COUNTY – A New Port Richey man died this morning (Feb. 27) from injuries he suffered when his motor scooter went off the road and hit a tree, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Dominic Joseph Lore III, 59, of New Port Richey, died at the Regional Medical Center at Bayonet Point where he was taken after the crash.

The crash happened about 9:23 a.m. on Madison Street near 11th Avenue in Pasco County.

Troopers said Mr. Lore was driving a 2019 Zhng motor scooter north on Madison Street when, for unknown reasons, the scooter veered left of center and traveled onto the west shoulder. The scooter traveled through the front yard of 4631 Madison Street into the front yard of 4639 Madison Street where the right front of the scooter hit a tree. Mr. Lore fell from the scooter, which continued through the yard until it came to rest against a banister on the home.
