The closure will affect eastbound Park and the cross streets from 40th Street N to 66th Street N.

PINELLAS PARK – Drivers should be prepared to detour around Pinellas Park later today (Dec. 9) to avoid the annual Pinellas Park holiday parade.

The closure will affect eastbound Park Boulevard from 66th Street n to 40th Street N. Cross streets – including 49th Street N – will also be closed.

The closure of the route will happen in this sequence:

1 p.m. – Closure of EB Park Boulevard begins at 66th Street
1:30 p.m. –  EB Park is closed from 66th to 58th Street
1:45 p.m.- Closure of EB Park begins at 49th Street
2:15 p.m. – EB Park is closed from 66th. to 49th
3:30 p.m. – EB Park Blvd is closed from 66th to 40th Street

Keep in mind, all Park Boulevard cross streets, including 49th Street N, are affected by the closure starting at 2:15 p.m.

U.S. 19, 66th Street, and Belcher Road/71st Street will be the only alternatives in the area for going north or  south.

The parade will begin at 6p.m. and roads will reopen once the parade is over.
