His motorcycle overturned after leaving the road, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

PASCO COUNTY – A motorcycle crash in Pasco County has claimed the life of a Palm Harbor man, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Lucas Daniel Cowden, 22, of Palm Harbor, died at Trinity Hospital where he was taken after the crash. Troopers said he was wearing a helmet and the crash was not alcohol-related.

The crash happened about 5:30 this morning (Nov. 12) at Perrine Ranch Road  at Meadowood Drive. Troopers said Mr. Cowden was traveling north on Perrine Branch when he failed to negotiate a curve and left the road. Once on the shoulder, the motorcycle hit a ditch and overturned.
