Mother Dies, 3 Month Old Seriously Injured in County Line Road Crash

The driver of the car they were in was also seriously injured.

PASCO COUNTY – A teen died and two others, of of them her 3-month-old baby, were seriously injured Friday (Oct. 26) in a traffic crash on County Line Road, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Mickaela Rodriguez, 19, died at the scene. She was not wearing a seat belt. Bella Jacobs, 3 months, was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa with serious injuries. The baby was in a car seat or otherwise restrained. The driver of the car, Ryan Maxwell Kroboth, 19, was taken to the Regional Medical Center at Bayonet Point with serious injuries. All three are from Hudson.

Lacey M. Allen, 24, of New Port Richey, the passenger in the other car, suffered minor injuries but was not taken to a hospital. The driver of the other car, Jeffrey K. Harvey, 27, of Hudson, was not injured.

The crash happened about 5:51 p.m. on County Line Road and Monteverde Drive in Pasco County.

Kroboth was driving a 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt west on County Line Road when he stopped, then turned left into the path of the 2000 Ford F350 that Harvey was driving east on County Line. Troopers said the Ford collided with the passenger side of the Chevrolet.
