Largo Woman Dies in Walsingham Road Crash

She ran a red light, FHP troopers said.

PINELLAS COUNTY – A Largo woman died Friday (Dec. 7) when she ran a red light and crashed into two other vehicles on Walsingham Road, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Marilyn Frances Martin, 71, of Largo, died at the scene. No other injuries were reported.

The crash happened about 12:39 p.m. at the intersection of Walsingham Road and 113th Street N in Pinellas County.

Troopers said Ms. Martin was driving a 2003 Ford Taurus east on Walsingham. She ran a red light at the intersection of Walsingham and 113th, which took her into the path of a 2013 Hyundai Genesis. The two vehicles collided.

After the impact, the vehicles rotated, troopers said, and collided with a 1999 Mack truck.
