HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY – One pedestrian died of her injuries and another was seriously hurt from a traffic crash Saturday (April 15) night, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The crash happened about 8:36 p.m. on U.S. 301 at Lightfoot Road. Troopers said a 2015 Nissan Versa driven by Christopher Judah, 43, of Lithia, and a 2004 Chevrolet Envoy driven by Peter Jeantry Jr., 33, of Bradenton, were both traveling north on U.S. 301. The Nissan began to slow for multiple pedestrians who were crossing U.S. 301, but troopers said the Chevrolet did not slow and rear-ended the Nissan.
