He was thrown from his vehicle when it flipped, the Clearwater Police Department said.

CLEARWATER – A Clearwater man died Sunday (Aug. 19) in a single-vehicle crash on the U.S. 19 exit ramp at northeast Coachman Road, the Clearwater Police Department said.

Michael Bellavia, 40, of Clearwater, died at the scene.

Police said the crash happened about 3:02 a.m. on the exit ramp for northbound U.S.19 at northeast Coachman Road.

His vehicle struck a barrier at the exit on northbound U.S. 19 causing the vehicle to flip. He was thrown from the vehicle, officers said.
