The single-vehicle I-75 crash blocked northbound traffic for about two hours, FHP troopers said.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY – An overturned truck blocked northbound traffic on I-75 for about two hours early this morning (Feb. 3), the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The truck driver, Derrick Deshawn Robinson, 34, of Orlando, was cited for No Valid Driver License. He was not injured in the crash. His passenger suffered minor injuries but was not taken to a hospital.

The crash happened about 12:37 a.m. on northbound I-75 south of State Road 618 in Hillsborough County.

Robinson was driving a 2008 Freightliner truck north on I-75 when the vehicle began having mechanical issues and caused Robinson to lose control. Troopers said Robinson overcorrected to get the truck back on the roadway and it overturned onto its passenger side.

The truck slid about 130 feet to final rest. It blocked all northbound lanes of I-75 until about 2:40 a.m.
