TAMPA – A fire Monday (April 30) damaged two homes.

A man and two children, a 2 year old and a 5 month old, were inside one house. All safely escaped and taken to a local hospital for further evaluation. None had any life-threatening injuries.

Tampa Fire Rescue was called to 2708 N 29th St. about 11:36 a.m. for reports of a fire. Arriving crews found the single-story wood frame structure 50 percent in flames that also affected the  home directly to the north.

Firefighters said they were able to knock down the fire and prevent further damage to the adjacent home.

The fire was under control by 12:15 p.m.

Investigators were working to determine the cause and origin of the fire.
