Four candidates are running for two seats on the Clearwater City Council.

CLEARWATER –  Clearwater will host a City Council Candidates Forum on the most pressing issues facing Clearwater at 7 p.m., Thursday (Feb. 8) in City Hall, 112 S Osceola Ave.

“Elections are the cornerstone of American government, and this city-sponsored forum will help voters understand the positions of the various candidates seeking election to the city council. Please get to know the candidates, and do not shirk from your responsibility of voting in the March 13 election and those that will be held later this year,” Clearwater Mayor George Cretekos said.

Clearwater residents will vote in the General Election on March 13 for candidates running for Clearwater City Council seats 4 and 5. Both are at-large seats. For Seat 4, residents may vote for either David Allbritton or Tom Keller. For Seat 5, residents may vote for either Hoyt Hamilton or John Funk.

If citizens are unable to make it to the forum, the event will be broadcast live on C-View TV and will also be available via streaming video through Election Day at myclearwater.com.

To find out where to vote, go to the Pinellas County Supervisor of Elections Office website at votepinellas.com. For information about the forum and candidates, call (727) 562-4679.
