Woman, 77, Dies in Pasco Crash

The woman was trying to make a left turn when her car was hit.

PASCO COUNTY – A New Port Richey woman was killed Wednesday (March 30) afternoon when her car was hit while trying to make a left turn, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Judith A. Roka, 77, of New Port Richey, died at the scene. Christopher M. Rivenburg, 39, of Hudson, the driver of the other car, was taken to Bayonet Point Hospital with minor injuries, the FHP said.

The crash happened about 2:17 p.m. Wednesday (March 30), troopers said. Ms. Roka had stopped her 1995 Ford Taurus on Point Boulevard at SR 52. Rivenburg was driving his 2006 Chrysler 300 north on SR 52. Ms. Roka tried to turn left, taking her into the path of Rivenburg’s car. The Chrysler hit the Ford, which spun several times before coming to a rest. Troopers said charges are pending.
