The Sunshine Skyway lane was closed for about an hour Saturday (Aug. 15) after a car overturned.

PINELLAS COUNTY – The Sunshine Skyway was closed for about an hour Saturday (Aug. 15) evening after a vehicle overturned when the driver lost control, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The FHP says Cyquaile Quayton, 21, of Bradenton, was driving a 2008 Buick LeSabre northbound on the Sunshine Skyway Bridge about 6 p.m. Saturday when he tried to change lanes. He over-corrected, lost control and hit the concrete barrier wall. The Buick overturned, coming to rest in the outside lane, which was closed for about an hour. No injuries were reported.

The FHP says Quayton was ticketed with accusations of careless driving, no proof of insurance, expired registration more than six months and no drivers license.
