PASCO COUNTY – A Port Richey woman was killed Wednesay (May 11) when the car she was driving was hit head-on, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Irene T. Hallisey, 51, of Port Richey, died at the scene, FHP troopers said. Two passengers in her car, Scott R. Burns, 48, of Wildwood, and Matthew J. Ms. Hallisey was driving a 1999 Toyota Corolla south on Starkey approaching the curve from the other direction. Troopers said, as the two vehicles approached the curve, the van drifted into the oncoming lane and into the path of Ms. Hallisey’s car. The two vehicles collided. Charges are pending, the FHP said.
