He met the two teens through Facebook, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said. He had sexual encounters with one teen at the Brandon Town Center Mall.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY – A Valrico man has been arrested and charged with 38 different crimes related to his inappropriate sexual contact with two 14-year-old teens, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said.

Timothy Tuttle, 27, of Valrico, was charged with 30 counts of lewd or lascivious battery (engage), three counts of transmission of harmful material to minor, and five counts of use of computer services or devices to solicit.

At the time of the offenses, Tuttle was 25 years old and the teens were between the ages of 14 and 15 years old. After having met them on Facebook, deputies said, Tuttle maintained romantic and sexual relationships with both juveniles while he requested, received, and transmitted erotic photographs over Facebook Messenger.

Tuttle came to light this January through an unrelated investigation. While investigating Tuttle for his involvement with the first teen, sheriff’s detectives discovered a second teen who was previously unknown. Deputies said Tuttle admitted to having a sexual relationship with both juveniles throughout 2016. The inappropriate contact with the minors was limited to 2016 in these cases.

In both instances, the juveniles independently initiated contact with Tuttle through social media. During the course of the investigation, detectives found other erotic photos transmitted to Tuttle, but have not identified the individuals or determined the ages of the women.

This investigation is active and ongoing. Additional charges are likely against Tuttle in relation to these cases. Detectives said they would like anyone with more information aboutthis matter or who has had contact or knows anyone who has had contact with Tuttle to please come forward immediately.

Teen 1

Between Aug. 1, 2016, and Nov. 30, 2016, Tuttle met with the 14 year-old multiple times at the Brandon Town Center Mall. The mall provides a space near the general public restrooms for families to have and area to change babies, larger rooms to stay together while they use the bathroom facilities and small rooms to provide privacy to mothers. Tuttle would meet the girl in one of the privacy rooms that only had a curtain as a door to commit his sexual encounters.

Additionally, Tuttle asked the teen for nude photographs and received two nude pictures from her and sent one nude photograph of him. Deputies said Tuttle admitted to multiple sexual encounters and knowing she was a minor.

Teen 2

Between Jan. 1, 2016, and Oct. 31, 2016, Tuttle used Facebook Messenger to communicate and coordinate physical meetings with the teen at his and her residence to have sex. The teen and Tuttle had sexual relations multiple times throughout the duration of this time-period and he admitted to doing so at least once a week. Tuttle asked her for nude photographs and received four nude pictures from her. Deputies said Tuttle admitted the relationship and the sexual encounters as well as having full knowledge of her age.
