Tampa Woman Accused in Carrollwood Home Invasion

Hillsborough deputies said they are searching for additional suspects.

CARROLLWOOD – A woman involved in an armed robbery in the Carrollwood area has been arrested, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.

Zakiyah Ashlynn Hill, 18, of Tampa, was charged with one count each of Grand Theft Third Degree ($300-$5,000), Armed Burglary of a Dwelling, Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, and Robbery Home Invasion.

Deputies said that they were called Wednesday (May 22) to a home invasion at an apartment in the area of Orange Grove Drive and Stall Road in Carrollwood.

When deputies arrived, they said they learned that the complainant was meeting a woman at the residence to smoke marijuana when three unknown men forced their way into the apartment and robbed the victim at gunpoint.

During the incident, one of the suspects fired a shot inside the residence, however, no one was struck. The suspects fled in an unknown direction.
