St. Pete Wolf Pack Charges 9 with DUI

The overnight wolf pack also found a stolen vehicle, police say.

ST. PETERSBURG – Police here filed 37 criminal charges and 153 citations during an overnight citywide police wolf pack aimed at drunken drivers.

Officers also found one stolen car and handled a car crash with serious injuries during the night.

The wolf pack was part of the St. Petersburg Police Department’s commitment to reduce deaths, injuries, and property damage associated with traffic crashes related to impaired driving. The goal of the operation was to educate citizens and create public awareness about the dangers of impaired driving.

Remove Intoxicated Drivers USA, MADD (Mother’s Against Drunk Driving), the Suncoast Safety Council, and the Live Free Coalition supported law enforcement during the night.

The results, according to police:

Criminal Charges:
Nine DUI
One no driver’s license
One arrest on warrant
14 misdemeanor driving while license suspended/revoked
12 misdemeanor traffic rrrests

Citations:
24 unlawful speed
54 moving violations
73 non-moving violations
