St. Pete Police Arrest Suspect in Coquina Key Murder

ST. PETERSBURG – A man suspected of killing a man and severely beating his sister has been taken into custody, the St. Petersburg Police Department said.

Otis Joseph Henderson, 44, a transient, has been charged with one count of first degree murder and one count of first degree attempted murder in connection with the Saturday (Dec. 30) attack on Paul Dumas and his sister, Elaine Vidinha.

Mr. Dumas, 68, was found dead in his home Monday (Jan. 1) morning. Vidinha, 63, was badly injured. She was taken to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg where she was listed in critical, but stable, condition.
