She died in September 2016, according to the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office.

SPRING HILL – A Spring Hill man is accused of murdering his mother, according to the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office.

Albert Henry Nickerson Jr., 50, of Spring Hill, is charged with one count each of murder in the first degree and aggravated abuse of an elderly or disabled adult.

Deputies said Beverly Nickerson, 74, was found dead Sept. 24, 2016. When deputies arrived that day, Ms. Nickerson was found to have numerous injuries on her body. In addition, investigators also noted the circumstances leading up to her death appeared suspicious.

After an extensive investigation, an arrest warrant was issued for her son, who was found at his Spring Hill home. Deputies said he declined to speak with them about the investigation. He was taken to the Hernando County Detention Center.

As the case is still pending prosecution, no additional details are available at this time.
