ODESSA – A 15-year-old high school student has been arrested in connection with violent death threats made during an Instagram messaging session, the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office said.

The teen, from Odessa, was charged with one count of written threats to do bodily harm. The offense does not qualify for youth diversion, deputies said. Tampa Bay Reporter is not revealing his name because of his age. The boy is a student at River Ridge High School in New Port Richey.

Deputies said they were told of the threats Wednesday (Nov. 14) when another student at River Ridge forwarded the Instagram messaging conversation to the school resource officer. The Instagram conversation took place between the arrested teen and another person who was not a student at the school. The conversation was made using the Instagram account of the student who reported the exchange.

According to deputies, the boy who was arrested sent his threats using the name “ya boy spicy sawc.” In the messages, “ya boy spicy sawc” said he would kill or harm the victim. Specifically, “ya boy spicy sawc” threatened to “shove my knife down your fkn throught,” “personaly drive to your house and burn it down with you inside it,” adding, “my threats arent blank and i can make you disappear in a second if i want,” “drown you in a tub of boiling fkn water,” and “I can’t wait to see you and shove my knife so far up your chin itll sloc into yo brain like butter.” (Spelling and punctuation are as written by the teen.)

Deputies said the teen admitted to knowingly sending the threats to the other person.
