Raid on Tampa Club Nets 11 on Racketeering, Drug Charges
The raid on Risque Gentleman’s Club was the culmination of a year-long undercover investigation.
TAMPA – A year-long undercover investigation ended late Thursday (Dec. 1) with a raid on a night club that resulted in 11 arrests on charges ranging from drug possession to racketeering.
Tampa Police said they began an investigation in October 2015 at the club, 900 N Dale Mabry Highway, which was then known as Ponytails. The investigation involved more than 50 separate undercover operations and resulted in two search warrants and several arrest warrants.
The Risque Gentleman’s Club was the scene of multiple illegal drug transactions, police said. The first arrest connected with the raid occurred in New Port Richey late Thursday, where the owner of the business, Ioannis Pahoumis, was arrested at his home. With the various arrests, which included the owner and several employees, the business is essentially closed at this time.
The investigation and arrests were possible due to assistance from the FBI, Drug Enforcement Administration, Florida Department of Law Enforcement, the Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco, the Florida Attorney General’s Office, and the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office.
Those arrested and the charges, according to Hillsborough and Pasco jail records:
Ioannis Pahoumis, 37, 5137 Lofton Drive, New Port Richey, one count of racketeering and one count of conspiracy to commit racketeering.
Amanda Wilson, 31, 6650 New Tampa Highway, Apt. 2, Lakeland, one count of failure to obey written promise.
Aryam Gomez, 34, 4605 Emerald Ave. N, Tampa, one charge each of possession of cocaine and delivery of a controlled substance (cocaine) within 1,000 feet of a church.
Cherokee Wells, 21, 1401 Dashwood Court, Brandon, one count each of failure to obey written promise and violation of the RICO act.
Derryle Galiber, 39, 4603 Whiteway Drive E, No. 13, Tampa, one count each of possession of cannabis less than 20 grams and delivery of cannabis.
Hector Lugo, 47, 9903 Elmer St. N, Tampa, one count of RICO conspiracy or endeavor.
Jonathan Sallins, 38, 3919 W State St., Tampa, one count each delivery of cannabis and possession of cannabis less than 20 grams.
Maria De Leon, 28, 333 1/2 Floribraska Ave. E, Tampa, one count of RICO conspiracy or endeavor.
Michelle Brunson, 32, 1322 Prescott St. S, St. Petersburg, one count each of possession of cocaine, possession of cocaine with intent to sell, and conspiracy to commit organized fraud.
Nanci Zipkin, 55, 2906 Janice Way, No. 211, Tampa, one count of driving under the influence.
Thomas Muzika, 43, 11120 Auburndale St., Spring Hill, one count each of RICO conspiracy or endeavor and RICO violation.
