He threw the empty bottle into a trash can, Pinellas Park police say.

PINELLAS PARK – A homeless man is accused of stealing a bottle of wine by drinking it before leaving the store without paying, according to the Pinellas Park Police Department.

Ty Kelley, 55, was charged with one count of Petit Theft Less Than $300.

Police said Kelley went into the Walmart Supercenter, 8001 U.S. 19 N, and took a bottle of Barefoot Riesling wine that cost $6.98 and stuck it inside his pants.

Officers said he went to the men’s room where he drank the wine and threw the empty bottle into a trashcan before leaving the store without paying. Store officials told officers about the incident.
