Physician’s Assistant Accused of Drug Trafficking

Deputies said they found methamphetamine, cocaine, heroin, ecstasy, THC Edibles and counterfeit money totaling about $7,400 in his home.

TAMPA – A physician’s assistant has been accused of trafficking in multiple illegal drugs, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said.

Anthony Loren Yarand, 38, of Tampa, was charged with Trafficking in Methamphetamine;Trafficking in Ecstasy; Possession of Heroin; Possession of THC Edibles; Possession of Marijuana; Possession of Counterfeit U.S. Currency; Possession of three different Controlled Substances (Testosterone, Adderall and Klonopin); Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; and Keeping a Public Nuisance Structure for Drug Activity.

Deputies said they received a tip that prompted the investigation. Deputies said they executed a search warrant at Yarand’s home located on Milford Berry Lane within the Carrollwood Retreat gated community.

They said they found quantities of methamphetamine, cocaine, heroin ecstasy, THC Edibles, and counterfeit U.S. currency totaling about $7,400.
