He blamed the 12 year old for coming on to him, the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office said.

PINELLAS COUNTY – A Largo man has been accused of inappropriate sexual relations with a 12-year-old girl, the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office said.

Anthony K. Wilson, 19, of Largo, was charged with one count of sexual battery (familial authority).

Deputies said the girl, who is now 13 years old, was admitted to a local hospital March 12 after she complained of stomach pain. She was diagnosed with a sexually transmitted disease.

Hospital staff reported the findings to the Florida Abuse Hotline and child protection investigators from the Sheriff’s Office went to her home. The girl told investigators she was sexually battered by Wilson in the summer of 2017. Pinellas sheriff’s detectives took over the investigation.

Detectives interviewed Wilson who admitted having sexual intercourse one time with the girl. Deputies said he blamed the then-12-year-old girl for coming on to him.
