GULFPORT – A Boca Ciega High School student was arrested after he was found with a gun on campus, the Gulfport Police Department said.
Patrick Tully, 17, was charged with felony possession of a weapon and ammunition on school property. Police said here was never any indication that Tully displayed the gun or threatened to use the weapon. Officers said he told them he bought the gun from a friend for personal protection.
Police said they found the gun while acting on a tip from other students indicating that Tully might have had drugs.
