Members of a DUI wolf pack filed 29 criminal charges and wrote 124 citations during the 10-hour operation, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office.

PINELLAS COUNTY  – Law enforcement officers from seven agencies filed a total of 153 civil and criminal charges during a 10-hour operation directed at tracking down drunk drivers, the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office said.

The wolf pack operation, which was spearheaded by the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, included law enforcement officers from the Florida Highway Patrol, and the Clearwater, Gulfport, Largo, St. Petersburg, and Tarpon Springs police departments.

The operation was part of the Sheriff’s Office ongoing commitment to reduce deaths, injuries, and property damage associated with traffic crashes related to impaired driving. The goal of a wolf pack is to educate drivers and create public awareness about the dangers of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and any chemical or controlled substances.

The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office will be conducting DUI wolf packs continuously throughout the year.

The wolf pack operation began at 7 p.m. Friday (June 29) and ended at 5 a.m. today (June 30). The results:
