Long Center Pool | Clearwater | Recreation

The closure, for renovations, is expected to last until November.

CLEARWATER – The Long Center’s pools will close June 12 so the city can make upgrades.

Work on the pools is expected to last more than four months with a completion date set for Nov. 30. The rest of the Long Center, 1501 N Belcher Road, will be open and will operate as normal.

During this time, the Morningside Pool, 2400 Harn Blvd., will be home to the Long Center’s swimming programs and lessons. Those affected by the closure can use pools at Morningside; Ross Norton Recreation and Aquatic Complex, 1426 S ML. Jr. Ave.; North Greenwood Recreation and Aquatic Complex, 900 N M.K. Jr. Ave.; and the Clearwater Beach Recreation Complex, 69 Bay Esplanade.

Upgrades to the Long Center Pools will include upgrading the deck and tiling, resurfacing of the pools, new lighting, and pump room/mechanical upgrades. When work is complete, visitors can expect a brand new look and a state-of-the-art facility. For questions, call the Long Center at (727) 793-2320.
