Symone Sanders rose to prominence as the press secretary for U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders’ presidential campaign. 

ST. PETERSBURG – The Eckerd College Office of Multicultural Affairs, Afro-American Society, EC Feminists, and Eckerd College Organization of Students have scheduled an evening with Symone Sanders.

Sanders is a Democratic strategist and CNN political commentator who rose to prominence as the press secretary for U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders’ presidential campaign.

Sanders draws from her experience on the national stage to provide perceptive analysis on political and social issues for presentations challenging the conventional wisdom that strong communities are only defined by what we have in common. Sanders is expected to discuss identity, progressive politics, and how to build stronger communities dedicated to justice.

The event is scheduled for 7 p.m. to 9 p..m. Feb. 16 at Fox Hall on the Eckerd College Campus. It is free and open to the public.
