Gulfport Police Find Man’s Body in Water

The man appears to have drowned, Gulfport police said.

GULFPORT – Policw here are investigating the death of a man whose body was found this morning (Sept. 27) in the water along the beach front.

Keith Tabor, 43, was found about 12:24 a.m. in the water on the Gulfport beach front in the 5700 block of Shore Blvd. S.

Clothing and personal items were located on a bench at the beach, according to the Gulfport Police Department. Officers said it appears Mr. Tabor went for a swim as he was found wearing swim trunks only. There are no signs of foul play and the initial investigation indicates that it was an accidental drowning. Alcohol is believed to have been involved, officers said.

A handwritten receipt for room number 110 was located with his property but the identification and/or location of that room is unknown. Based on the receipt payment information, police said they believe Mr. Tabor was still living in Room 110.

Officers are asking anyone with knowledge of Mr. Tabor’s recent location to please contact Det. Crowson at (727) 893-1043.
