Hillsborough sheriff’s deputies have arrested him. Largo police are still searching for the puppy.

LARGO -A man who used a stolen credit card to buy a French bulldog puppy has been arrested, the Largo Police Department said.

Bryant Farfan has been arrested by the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office for outstanding warrants in their jurisdiction. Largo police charges for Grand Theft and Identity Theft are pending arrest warrants from the Sixth Judicial Circuit.

Largo police found the puppy Friday (Nov. 16) in Tampa. Officers said Farfan was not helpful in the recovery of the dog and showed no sign of remorse over its theft. The puppy was found through the efforts of Largo police with help from the Tampa Police Department.

The French bulldog, whose identity was verified through its microchip, was unharmed and has been returned to All About Puppies.

Police said that, on Oct. 2, Farfan entered the All About Puppies retailer at 7190 Ulmerton Road, dressed as a woman.

Farfan used a stolen credit card and stolen Florida drivers license to buy a fawn colored French Bulldog valued at several thousand dollars. Farfan falsified adoption records and misled store employees regarding the dog’s future home, officers said.
