Dunedin’s annual beer runs are one way to welcome the month of Oktoberfest.

DUNEDIN – The Original Craft Beer Run is back for its 10th annual celebration kicking off Oktoberfest month in downtown Dunedin.

The event offers a 5k, 10k, and 1 mile craft beer challenge. It all takes place in the lot of the smoke-free Bauser’s Dunedin Pub property at 520 Douglas Ave. beginning at 4 pm Saturday (Sept. 24) with check in on race day at the venue as early as 2:30 pm. The running all takes place on the beautifully paved and shaded Pinellas Trail.

Every finisher will receive the large Dunedin Craft Beer Finisher’s medal (one for every participant no matter the distance) and Craft Beer Challenge finishers will also receive their very own framed award for completing the challenge. Participants also receive free beer, food sampler and dri fit race shirts.  Awards are presented at the post race party to the top 25 males and top 25 females in both the 5K and 10K with special awards for youth, seniors, and challenged or inspirational participants.
