The Rotary gives most of the proceeds to local causes.

DUNEDIN – While Dunedin’s world class sprint triathlon happens only once a year, the benefits of this fundraising event help the local community all year long. Through the efforts of the Rotary most of the funds raised go to local charities that help students, scholarships, homeless and those in need right in the local community.

The Dunedin Triathlon goes off at 7:30 a.m. Sunday (June 12) on Honeymoon Island. Organizers highly reccomend that you register before hand on-line or at one of their sign-up areas. They do offer registration at the event. If you are not be able to preregister on-line or at packet pickup, Sunday registration runs from 6 a.m. to 7 a.m. Follow the directions to parking after you enter the park.
