CLEARWATER – Lace up your favorite running shoes and sprint to Clearwater for the inaugural Sports Fan 5K on Nov. 12.

This exciting “chipped timed” road race is for sports fans of all kinds and people of all ages. The race will begin at 8 a.m. in bright and beautiful Coachman Park downtown Clearwater with registration starting at 6 a.m. Participants will race over the Memorial Causeway Bridge and back to Coachman Park. After the race there will be music, food and beverages, and more.

All of the proceeds will benefit Clearwater for Youth, a non-profit organization whose mission is to help ensure “no child is turned away” due to financial concerns, and to elevate youth sports in our community and beyond. They do this by offering support through scholarships and grants to constructive sports programs where children from all levels of society can play and learn together.

Participants are encouraged to sign up in advance since space is limited, and the cost to enter increases on day of race.
