The Florida Dream Center, St. Pete city government  and the Pinellas Human Services department collaborated to provide the house.

ST. PETERSBURG — Mayor Rick Kriseman, Pinellas County officials and the Florida Dream Center welcomed a homeless family into a newly renovated rental property in the Greater Childs Park area on Saturday (May 21).  This milestone is the result of a successful partnership between Florida Dream Center, St. Petersburg and Pinellas County Human Services.

The Dream Center was host to a ribbon-cutting/key turnover ceremony to mark the occasion.

The newly renovated home is at located at 2000 43rd St. S.

Human Services identified an eligible homeless family to move into the home and Wells Fargo Bank donated the foreclosed property to the Dream Center. Florida Dream Center volunteers remodeled the home with the help of donations from a number of local companies. The volunteers and companies that partnered to turn the once-dilapidated property into a move-in ready home were treated to a barbecue lunch at the event.
