The James J. Lunsford Law Library has special events scheduled to celebrate Law Week.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY – Law Day and Law Week offer something for both legal professionals and the general public, as the Tampa-Hillsborough County Public Library proves with special events at the James J. Lunsford Law Library.

Law Day, held annually on May 1, is a national day set aside to recognize the rule of law. The Law Library is celebrating Law Day and Law Week with several free events.

Ask-A-Lawyer: Landlord-Tenant Rights
2 p.m. Monday (April 25)
Join attorney Amber Kourofsky, a member of the Hillsborough County Bar Association, as she discusses landlord-tenant rights and law in this one-hour presentation.

Introducing Bay Area Legal Services 
10 a.m. Tuesday (April 26)
Bay Area Legal Services is a non-profit public interest law firm that provides legal assistance to local low-income residents. Find out how to get help with consumer law, family law, tax assistance, foreclosure, and more.

Advanced Research on WestlawNext 
10 a.m. Wednesday (April 27)
A representative for this online legal research service will teach participants how to filter and organize searches, search for daily changes taking place in the law, and provide information on the latest tools and content. Attorneys who attend will earn one hour of continuing legal education credit.

The James J. Lunsford Law Library is a branch of the Tampa-Hillsborough County Public Library System. The library, 701 E. Twiggs St. in Tampa, is dedicated to providing a place for the public and members of the legal profession to find relevant source materials for legal research.
