The four-week community conversation begins tonight at St.Petersburg College’s midtown campus.

ST. PETERSBURG – St. Petersburg College is hosting Black Minds Matter: A focus on black boys and men in education, featuring Dr. J. Luke Wood of San Diego State University and Claremont Graduate University.

The conversation series is at 7 p.m. at SPC Midtown Campus, 1300 22nd St. N, St. Petersburg tonight (Nov. 20), Nov. 27, Dec. 4 and Dec. 11.

Black Minds Matter addresses the experiences and realities of black males in education, drawing parallels between the Black Lives Matter movement and the ways that black minds are engaged in the classroom.
