The agency plans to hand out more than 3,000 masks by Thursday.

PINELLAS COUNTY – The Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority is giving away more than 3,000 free bandana face coverings to essential riders.

The mask giveaway began Tuesday (May 26) at Grand Central Station. It will run through Thursday (May 28) while supplies last.

Distribution of the bandanas:

  • 9 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.  today (May 27) at the Pinellas Park Transit Center
  • 9 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday (May 28) at Park Street Terminal

PSTA is encouraging all passengers to wear protective face coverings. Riders will receive one free bandana while supplies last.

PSTA officials say the agency has taken the necessary steps to not only ensure the safety of its employees but also the community by requiring all who are able to board and exit the rear door and limiting passengers.
