U.S. 19 Crash Kills Pinellas Park Man
His passenger is in critical condition, FHP troopers say.
PASCO COUNTY – A Pinellas Park man has died from injuries he suffered in a crash Friday (July 31) night on U.S. 19 N, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
The 37-year-old man died at a hospital of injuries he suffered in the crash. His passenger, a 28-year-ol Spring Hill woman, is in critical condition after being thrown from the car during the crash. She was not wearing a seat belt, FHP troopers said.
The other driver, a 68-year-old woman from Hudson, suffered minor injuries.
The crash happened about 9:09 p.m. on U.S. 19 N south of Meridien Boulevard in Pasco County.
Troopers said the Pinellas Park man was driving a sedan north on U.S. 19 when he overtook and collided with the rear of the SUV driven by the Hudson woman.
The sedan overturned after the impact, throwing the passenger from the car.
