Tampa Man Dies in I-75 Crash
He lost control of his car, FHP troopers say.
PASCO COUNTY – A Tampa man died Tuesday (May 26) when his car crashed on I-75 after he lost control of the vehicle, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
The 59-year-old man from Tampa died at the scene. He was not wearing a seat belt.
The crash happened about 6:45 a.m. on northbound I-75 at about the 276 milepost in Pasco County.
Troopers said the man was driving north in the center lane when, for unknown reasons, he lost control of the sedan, which left the road, entered the outside shoulder and hit a tree.
