The driver suffered minor injuries. There were no other injuries, FHP troopers say.

PINELLAS COUNTY – An SUV crashed into a Clearwater home after the driver lost control, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The driver, a 72-year-old Clearwater woman, suffered minor injuries. It is unclear if she was taken to the hospital. No one else was reported injured.

The crash happened about 7:20 p.m. Saturday (May 23) on Woodring Drive west of the T-intersection with Owen Drive in the Clearwater area of Pinellas County.

Troopers said the driver was headed east on Woodring when she lost control of the SUV, which traveled off the road onto the front lawn of 2701 Woodring where it collided with a palm tree.

The driver tried to regain control of the SUV and made several unsuccessful evasive moves that, troopers said, resulted in her again losing control of the vehicle.

The SUV traveled back onto Woodring, crossed both lanes and onto the front lawn of 2704 Woodring where it collided with the southwest corner of the house.
