St. Petersburg Man Dies After 54th Avenue Crash
Troopers from the FHP say he turned in front of an oncoming car.
PINELLAS COUNTY – A St. Petersburg man died of injuries he suffered in a traffic crash on 54th Avenue N.
The 35-year-old man died at a hospital where he was taken after the crash. The other driver, a 36-year-old Seminole woman, suffered minor injuries. The Florida Highway Patrol said she was not wearing a seat belt.
The crash happened about 7:07 p.m. Thursday (Dec. 24) at the intersection of 54th Avenue N and 48th Street in the unincorporated Lealman area of Pinellas County.
The deceased man was driving a sedan south on 48th Street when he turned into the path of the sedan the woman was driving west on 54th. The two cars collided, causing the vehicle the man was driving to overturn.
