Roosevelt Boulevard Crash Kills Dunedin Man

He was thrown from his SUV when it overturned.

PINELLAS COUNTY – A Dunedin man died of injuries he suffered in a one-vehicle crash Friday (Nov. 20) on Roosevelt Boulevard.

The 33-year-old man died at a hospital where he was taken after the crash. He was not wearing a seat belt.

The crash happened about 6:40 p.m. on Roosevelt Boulevard near Ulmerton Road in Pinellas County.

Florida Highway Patrol troopers said he was driving an SUV west on Roosevelt when he failed to negotiate a curve. The SUV left the road and began to spin before entering and leaving the roadway again as the driver tried to regain control.

The SUV overturned and the driver was thrown out of the vehicle. The SUV continued across the center median and came to rest in the eastbound lanes of Roosevelt.
