He failed to stop and hit a truck, FHP troopers say.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY – A Riverview man died of injuries he suffered in a crash Monday (Aug. 3) on U.S. 301, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

A 20-year-old Riverview man died at a hospital where he was taken after the crash. The other driver was not injured.

The crash happened about 1:53 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. 301 and SImmons Loop in HIllsborough County.

The Riverview man was driving a power utility truck south on U.S. 301 when he failed to slow or stop. As a result, troopers said, the power utility truck rear ended a tractor truck that was stopped at the intersectoin.
