Plant City Woman Dies in I-75 Crash

She lost control of her SUV, according to FHP troopers.

HERNANDO COUNTY – A Plant City woman died Wednesday (May 20) after she lost control of her SUV on I-75, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The crash happened about 7 a.m. near mile marker 295 on northbound I-75 in Hernando County.

Troopers said the Plant City woman, 29, was driving north on I-75 when, for an unknown reason, she lost control of her SUV.

The SUV entered the center median and the woman over-corrected back across the highway and entered the outside shoulder where her SUV collided with a tree. She died at the scene.
